PrestaShop
The official Reskyt module for PrestaShop identifies which carts and which orders arrive from the app, makes them visible inside the Back Office and lets you create coupons that only work in the app.
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”PrestaShop 1.7.7.0 or higher, with PHP 7.2 or higher and MySQL 8.0 or higher.
Current version
Section titled “Current version”1.8.3 · Download reskytmodule 1.8.3 (.zip)
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Order attribution. It flags the orders that come from the app and adds a From Reskyt column with a filter to the order list, in the position you choose. The order page and the cart page also show a From Reskyt App badge.
App-only coupons. It lets you mark any cart rule as “app only”, with the option of applying it automatically.
Tracking screen. Under Marketing › Reskyt there is a read-only list with the full path from cart to order, including the carts that never converted.
API access. It exposes the origin of each order as a resource of PrestaShop’s native REST webservice.
How an order is decided to come from the app
Section titled “How an order is decided to come from the app”The signal is the User-Agent of the request: if it contains rktwebview, the
traffic comes from the app.
That signal is captured throughout the life of the cart and is never lost once detected. This is intentional: in a checkout that goes through an external payment gateway, not every request keeps the User-Agent, and without that persistence legitimate attributions would be lost.
You can choose at which moment attribution is decided:
| Mode | When it flags the order |
|---|---|
| First touch (add to cart) | As soon as the first request of the cart arrives from the app. This is the default value |
| Checkout start | When the customer reaches the checkout from the app |
App-only coupons
Section titled “App-only coupons”Coupons are still created where they always were, in Catalog › Cart Rules. The module adds two checkboxes to the conditions tab:
| Checkbox | What it does |
|---|---|
| App only (Reskyt) | The rule is only applied on carts that come from the app. If somebody enters the code outside the app, the module removes it from the cart |
| Auto-apply on app carts | The module attaches the rule to the cart automatically as soon as it detects that it comes from the app, without the customer typing anything |
Installation
Section titled “Installation”-
Upload the module
In the Back Office, go to Modules › Module Manager and click Upload a module. Select the zip.
If you prefer to do it by file, copy the
reskytmodulefolder into themodules/directory of your installation and then install it from the Module Manager. -
Configure the three settings
Open the module configuration:
Setting What it does Enable app order flag Turns the whole functionality of the module on or off Attribution mode First touch or Checkout start, according to the table above Column Position Where the Reskyt column is placed in the order list -
Enable the webservice, if you are going to use it
In Advanced Parameters › Webservice, give your API key access to the
reskyt_ordersresource. The resource is intended for reading, so GET permission is enough. -
Check the result
Place a test order from the app and check that it appears flagged in Orders and that the path is visible in Marketing › Reskyt.
Querying attribution through the API
Section titled “Querying attribution through the API”GET /api/reskyt_orders/{id_order}GET /api/reskyt_orders?filter[is_reskyt_order]=1GET /api/reskyt_orders?display=fullThe identifier of the resource is id_order itself.
Updating and uninstalling
Section titled “Updating and uninstalling”The module ships its own update scripts, so you can install a new version on top of the previous one.
Uninstalling it deletes the three configuration settings, but the attribution data already recorded is kept, so a reinstall recovers the history.
