Share access with Reskyt

To manage and publish the app, Reskyt needs to be able to make the necessary changes in each store. For that reason the address app@reskyt.com is invited with the Administrator role in Google Play Console and App Store Connect. If the customer has a Firebase project, access to that project is given with the Owner role. The accounts remain the property of the customer.

The Administrator role lets you manage all the apps in the account: upload releases, edit the Play Store listing, view statistics, manage users and access the account settings. It is equivalent to the owner’s role, except for some actions reserved to the owner, such as deleting the account or transferring ownership.

  1. Sign in to Google Play Console with an account that has owner or administrator permissions, and open Users and permissions in the side menu.
  2. Click Invite new users and enter app@reskyt.com. To invite with the Administrator role, your account must have that same permission at account level.
  3. In the account permissions, select the Administrator role. Optionally, an access expiry date can be set. If none is given, access is indefinite.
  4. Click Invite user. The status changes to “Invitation sent”.

The person who receives the invitation at app@reskyt.com accepts it with a Google Account associated with that address, and must do so within 30 days, or it will expire and have to be sent again. Once accepted, the status changes to “Active”.

The Administrator role gives access to practically all the account’s functions: app management, build uploads, TestFlight, sales and financial reports and user management. It is also the role required to generate API keys.

  1. Sign in to App Store Connect with an account that has the Administrator role or with the account holder’s, and open Users and Access.
  2. Click the + button and enter the first and last name, which can be generic, for example “Reskyt Team”, and the email app@reskyt.com.
  3. Under Role, select Administrator. If additional permissions appear, such as access to certificates, identifiers and profiles, enable them as well for full access.
  4. Click Invite. Apple sends the invitation email to app@reskyt.com.

Whoever receives the invitation must accept it from the email. If they do not have an Apple ID associated with that address, they have to create one first. Once accepted, the user appears in Users and Access with the Administrator role active.

  1. Sign in to the Firebase console with the project’s owner account and select the project you want to share.
  2. Click the gear icon and open Users and permissions. This takes you to Google Cloud IAM, because Firebase uses the same permission system.
  3. Click Add member and enter Reskyt’s Google email.
  4. Assign the Owner role and save the changes.

Once you have sent the relevant invitations, confirm it to your contact at Reskyt so that it can be verified that they have been accepted correctly.
