Architecture of a Reskyt app
A Reskyt app is a native container (Swift on iOS, Kotlin on Android) that renders your store in a WebView and adds what only exists natively: push, biometrics, deeplinks, system permissions and presence in the stores.
What this means
Section titled “What this means”Your store is the source of truth. Catalogue, prices, cart, checkout and accounts live on your platform. There is no copy that can fall out of sync.
Store changes are visible immediately, without going through store review.
App-specific behaviour is handled from the app configuration and the available variables.
Anything native does require republishing: enabling a native plugin or integrating an SDK requires recompiling and resubmitting to both stores.

Where the platform runs
Section titled “Where the platform runs”Reskyt services are deployed on AWS, with the primary region in eu-west-1 (Ireland), managed through Infrastructure as Code and with redundancy across Availability Zones. The detail is in reliability and scalability.

Publishing
Section titled “Publishing”The app is distributed through the App Store and Google Play. Those store accounts are owned by the customer, and the necessary access is defined at the start of each project: see publishing to the stores.
